  The Aberdeen Lodge deserves 4 stars for the lakeside views adjacent to the restaurant. However 2 stars is a generous rating for the walleye I had there. I could have picked up a piece of walleye in the freezer at the supermarket, and produced a better meal. The walleye was very thin and overcooked, seasoned with...parsely? It came with melted oil and butter, and would have been much better with just plain butter. I had considered ordering a steak, but with at least 5 different fish entrees on the menu, I thought that perhaps they were known for their fish. If they are known for their fish, then their steaks must be awlful. I recommend a ceasar salad as the greens were nice.
  
  This restaurant is in tourist area, and so even though it was a Wednesday night, it was clear that they wanted our lakeside table as soon as they could get it back. We were asked to vacate after 60 minutes and $75, and guided toward the bar. Never again.

  The Aberdeen Restaurant & Bar is the "hidden gem of the north woods" that is not to be missed! We made our reservation on line, and called ahead for directions to find it. The food rivals any of Wisconsin's great supper clubs, the lake view from the dining room is gorgeous, the atmosphere is casual, warm, and inviting, and the wait staff is very attentive! Don't miss out on visiting this wonderful restaurant!.
